From tomorrow until April 25 will be held in Perugia, the fourth edition of ' International Journalism Festival . Opportunity to discuss how journalism is transformed in the internet age.

Festival Internazionale del Giornalismo, le notizie nellera del web It 's definitely the most important event worldwide related to journalism, just look at the journalists and the people who will be present in Perugia April 21 to 25. The ' International Journalism Festival will be an opportunity for questioning but also to ask how journalism, that labeled "traditional" can survive in the era of Web 2.0 , with the phenomenon of social media that have highlighted how there is no need to read the news newspaper. But now times have changed. And publishers, clearly the economic crisis facing this issue without necessarily ignore it. It 'no use denying it, however you think Facebook is discussing!

Facebook fa discutere This in my humble opinion, is increasing more and more the phenomenon. A few days ago made the news that Italian Post Office, one of the largest Italian companies, has taken the decision to obscure the site Facebook to employees because "it distracts from work." It seems that the Region of Lombardy and Veneto are thinking of adopting similar measures. But why has this come about? Why all of a sudden in Italy, notoriously apathetic towards the web and its tools, Facebook becomes the ultimate example of socialnetwork? We give some numbers while: a year ago members on Facebook had just 160,000 in September 2008 were 4,000,000 and 200,000! A real boom! So why take measures of blackout when the Italians for once perhaps appreciate the web? Perhaps the answer can be found in the fact that as usual in front of a new thing we lack a sense of proportion. When will we meet want to know everything immediately, and then when it goes out of fashion, throw it away like paper. This may be one explanation, but not enough. To attract Italians on Facebook is perhaps the desire to experience the sensation of exploring new ways to make friends, find old friends (the real reasons that led Mark Zuckerberg clever idea) and you also experience the web ... maybe.

Luca De Biase , journalist and editor of the insert Nova 24, insert of the Sun 24 hours dedicated to research and innovation, has launched an 'own investigation to try to explain the phenomenon of Facebook and invited all those who have joined the site briefly to recount their experiences. We look forward to seeing what emerges from this analysis, but certainly on Facebook much remains to be discovered, and on this blog we will.
